KAT MARSH

Vocalist

Bio

I’m a UK based professional vocalist, musician and songwriter with over 9 years of studio and live experience. I’ve worked with a variety of artists and producers, including internationally renowned metal band Bring Me The Horizon and Grammy-winning producers Stephen Fitzmaurice and Jacquire King. I've performed at some of the UK's premiere music venues and festivals including the Royal Albert Hall, the Roundhouse, Reading & Leeds Festivals, Glastonbury, Download Festival and Bestival.

I'm a versatile vocalist with a 3 1/2 octave range and I've recorded vocals for a wide variety of artists/bands. As a backing vocalist, I am adept at matching phrasing, creating harmonies and learning parts extremely quickly. I'm also an experienced choir leader, vocal arranger and vocal session fixer. I can arrange parts for any number of singers, from duos to full choirs, and I have a network of high calibre professional vocalists available for projects.

I am also experienced as a topline writer, lyricist and songwriter. My songs have been played on BBC 6 Music, XFM, Amazing Radio and have been synced to movies and TV shows internationally. My songwriting for The King Blues was also released on Notting Hill Music Group’s label Transmission Recordings. The majority of my songwriting is for my band Lionface and can be heard at http://www.soundcloud.com/lionfacemusic.

If you’re working under time or money constraints I’m also able to send tracks remotely via Dropbox (dry vocal tracks, fully prepared and ready to go). I work with Logic Pro and record with a Neumann microphone.

For a full list of albums, sessions and singles that feature my vocals check out my 'Credits' page. Examples of my backing, lead and topline vocal work can be found on my 'Backing Vocals' and 'Topline Vocals' pages. My live performance showreel can be found on my 'Home' page.

I also work in partnership with Parallax Orchestra, a professional UK-based orchestra who provide a session-player fixing and music arranging service. For more information visit their site parallaxorchestra.com.
